There are gonna be two posts today and well this post is a game lovers delight. First I had the electronic version of this really old book The Art of Game Design lying around. I haven't ever got around to really reading so well u will have to check it out. Secondly I have Caesar one of the first strategy games to be released. It has now shifted to abandonware and is hence free for distribution. Thirdly I have this stupidly built clone of Space Invaders which I had made myself a few years back. Though it is not a work of art the game works entirely in text mode, i.e. the so called graphics are created by characters.
Oh well there are gonna two posts today so here's the first one. There's this cool book on game design, The Art of Game Design. Though it is old (early 1980s) it continues to be an excellent reference for the designing of games. Secondly I had this old game called Caesar lying around. It is an early strategy game and was very popular around 1992-93. Now it has switched over to abandonware so distributing it freely is legal.
